If you require transport for taking you to our hostel we can organized it very well for you.

We are always available to receive you at check- in time at 2 p.m. in the afternoon.

If you arrive earlier for the check-in, we can keep your luggage in our lobby area until your room is ready to be occupied.

The check-out time is at 11a.m. Before you leave, please be kindly to remove all of your stuffs, luggage, and any personal items of yours from the room by 12p.m., so that our housekeeping staff can set the room for the next check -in. If you find yourself that you still need to leave your luggage for the rest of the day, please feel free to leave it in our storage area.

Goa Gajah ‘Elephant Cave’

goa-gajahYou will find this place is very special. It is because Goa Gajah is an archeological site and with significant historical value. It is located in Bedulu village six kilometers to the east of Ubud centre. It takes about 20 minutes by driving. You can check in our map for more detail direction. The most interesting thing you may find there is Goa Gajah was built around in 11th century which is built as spiritual place for meditation.

At the side of parking area are full with various art and souvenirs shops. And various structures reveal Hindu influences which dated back 10th century. And some relics feature elements of Buddism which dated back earlier to the 8th century. You may come and find more interesting things in Goa Gajah in the open daily at 08.00 a.m. – 16.00 p.m.

It is one of the Ubud’s most popular attractions; a natural forest sanctuary that is home to a horde of grey long-tailed macaques. The site is well preserved by the local community-based management program.

There, you can find and watch playful monkeys in their natural habitat, swinging through canopies, lazing along pathways or feeding on bananas. Furthermore, you can also find more another sites of interest like Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal and Pura Prajapati. Another temple is Pura Beji, which is accessible down a flight of stairs and next to a stream. Banyan tree roots hanging over shadowy dragon staircases offer exotic photo opportunities.

Museum Puri LukisanUbud

Mario Antonio Blanco who was born in Philippines was famous as the maestro from Spain. She was married with Balinese dancer whose name was Ni Ronji in 1953.

Blanco’s art work was very identical to the beauty of body of Balinese woman that made him famous all around the world. Then Blanco founded his museum on the land which was given by the Royal of Ubud.

Now, there are around 300 paintings of Blanco’s which contain great artistic value well-displayed inside the museum. The museum opens at 09.00 – 17.00.

Neka Art Museum

The Home of the Most Influential Artist in Bali.

neka-museumEstablished by Suteja Neka, Neka Art Museum also has a lot of arts that can make its visitors feel satisfied with high value of art. Neka Art Museum displays traditional Balinese paintings in the famous of Wayang style. It is based on classical shadow puppets, and also Indonesian contemporary art with realistic description of rural life. Furthermore, you can find black- and-white photograph of Bali in years before World War II. The collections of woodcarving and bronze sculptures are also displayed here.

Find Neka Art Museum at Jalan Raya Sanggingan Campuhan Ubud, around 15 minutes from Ubud center. The museum hour is  on Monday-Saturday at 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., Sunday on noon – 5 p.m. Close on national holiday.

BALINESE DANCE PERFORMANCE IN UBUD

Living in Ubud gives you more experience. After you complete your delightful experience with activities, the other attractions continues in the evening in Ubud, and make sure that you still keep your eyes on watching Balinese dance performance in the evening.

Kecak Dance

kecak-dance-ubudIt is performed by many dancers, there are about 50 – 70 dancer involved. This dance performance is different from any others you have ever seen in Bali which most use Gambelan as the music instrument. Kecak Dance is accompanied by human voice, use choir of its dancer who sit in the concentric circle as the music. This dance is about the fragment of Ramayana epic.

If you want to watch Kecak Dance, the performance is only done at night, starts at 19:00. There are two famous places in Ubud to watch Ubud Kecak dance, it is in Dalem Ubud Temples on Monday at 19.00, just go straight to the west of Ubud center, take about 5 minutes, and in Padang Tegal Kaja Ubud on Sunday at 19.00.

Ramayana Dance

ramayana-dance-ubudThe other delightful of dance performance you can enjoy in Ubud is Ramayana Dance. This dance is also about Ramayana epic. It is about the journey of Rama, Sita and Lakshmana in a jungle where they encountered Maricha, a demon from Lanka Kingdom who wants to abduct Princess of Sita as ordered by his King Ravana.

The show starts at 7:30 PM, try to be there at least 30 minutes earlier to get a good seat. It is held at Ancak Saji Ubud Palace Court Yard which built in the 16th Century. It serves as an open-air theater at night. It is so marvelous to watch there. The intricately constructed palace gate and the guardian statues serve as a perfect setting for the traditional dances.

Legong Dance

legong-dance-ubudThis dance performance entertains viewers with intricate finger movements, and also swaying complicated gesture, and expressive facial expression. This Balinese performance is accompanied by Gambelan music orchestra. The Gambelan players are usually consisted of around 40 members.

The most popular of Legongs is the Legong Kraton. The dance is performed by three dancers. A female attend on the court and two identically dressed Legongs who adopt the roles of royal persons. It is also held is Ubud Palace, start from 19.30. Get there at least 30 minutes before it starts.
